Chelsea Football Club coach, Enzo Maresca, has named Moses Caicedo the team’s captain.
According to a statement from Fabrizio Romano’s X account on Sunday, the midfielder praised Chelsea’s coach for appointing him captain.
“I’m grateful to Maresca for making me Chelsea’s captain.
“I want to become a legend here, and that’s what I’m working hard to achieve every day.
“It means a lot to captain Chelsea. It’s a dream come true
because I grew up supporting Chelsea,” he said.
Chelsea is set to battle Nottingham Forest on Sunday in the 2024/2025 season.
It should be recalled that Moises Caicedo signed an eight-year deal with Chelsea in a £100m transfer from Brighton, with an additional £15m in performance-related add-ons, after turning down a £111m move to Liverpool.
