Fubara Approves N100,000 Christmas Bonus For Civil Servants, Pensioners

In a joyous Christmas gift to civil servants, public servants, and pensioners in Rivers State, Governor Siminalayi Fubara has approved a N100,000 Christmas bonus for all eligible recipients.

The generous gesture, aimed at enabling the beneficiaries to have a fulfilled Christmas celebration, was announced by the Head of Civil Service, Rivers State, George Nwaeke.

 

According to Nwaeke, the bonus will be paid to workers in various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies, as well as pensioners in both the civil and public service.

He said Governor Fubara’s approval of the Christmas bonus is a testament to his administration’s commitment to the well-being and happiness of Rivers people.

 

The Whistler reports that this is the second time that civil servants in the state will receive a Christmas bonus of N100,000, which is above the nation’s minimum wage.

Notably, this is the first time that pensioners will be included in the bonus payment.

 

He said “The “Rivers First mantra” of Governor Fubara’s administration is focused on securing the well-being and happiness of Rivers people across various sectors of the economy.

” This Christmas bonus is a significant step towards achieving that goal.

“The bonus payment is expected to bring joy and relief to the beneficiaries, enabling them to celebrate the festive season with their loved ones.
