Actress Judy Austin, the second wife of Yul Edochie, has boasted over the profitability of their prank videos, claiming they fetched them over $10,000 ( over N 7,650,000).
The Nollywood couple has been posting videos on their social media pages to keep viewers ‘entertained’.
The videos, which saw them quarreling heatedly, have been setting tongues wagging.
Many guessed they were indeed putting up the act to gather views and invariably earn money from it while others expressed gladness that ‘there was fire on the mountain’, wishing their acting could become a reality.
The mother of two claimed while their haters judged them and said awful things about them because of their prank videos, they were busy earning millions.
“People thought I have issues with my husband Yul Edochie.
“Well, we just made over $10k from our prank videos while some carried it for head.
Congratulations to us,” she wrote.
The Edo State Taskforce Against Human Trafficking has apprehended a 48-year-old man, Anthony Igbinogun, and his girlfriend, Joy Umukoro, 28, for allegedly selling their one-month-old baby to buy drugs.
The suspects were arrested alongside their friend, 26-year-old Precious James, who reportedly facilitated the illegal transaction and linked the couple to the buyer in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The Taskforce Head of the Investigation Unit, Abigail Ihonre, who disclosed this on Friday in Benin, said the baby was sold for N1.7 million.
“Our investigations revealed that Joy Umukoro, the mother of the baby, delivered the baby in April 2023, and conspired with her boyfriend to sell their baby for N1.7 million. She has confessed to the crime of selling the baby.”
She said investigation into the case is ongoing to locate the buyers and the baby, adding that everyone culpable would be made to face the wrath of the law.
“The suspects said they carried out the dastardly act because they couldn’t take care of the baby. These people are alleged drug addicts and when it was clear that they couldn’t take care of the baby, they decided to sell him. But that wasn’t the best option for them as the decision may destroy their lives.
“The baby’s mother, Joy Umukoro said they sold the one-month-old baby to a willing buyer in Port Harcourt, Rivers State for N700,000. N500,000 was paid cash; N170,000 was given to the agent that took her to the buyer, while the balance was used for drugs.”
“After giving birth to the baby, life became very difficult and I approached my friend to help me with a buyer and she gave me the link. I travelled to Port Harcourt with another woman and sold the baby for N700,000. The drugs I take are the cause. I also sent some money to my other two children for upkeep and some others for my father’s burial,” Joy said.
On his part, Igbinogun, the baby’s father, said after birth, the mother said she couldn’t take care of the baby.
“She told me that her friend Precious James had found a buyer and she travelled to Rivers State to sell the baby and when she returned, she gave me N100,000,” he said.
Also, Precious James, who facilitated the illegal deal, said they all are drug addicts and couldn’t take care of the baby.
“My friend told me she sold the baby for N700,000 and when she came back she bought drugs for me from the money,” he said.

The public institution, more commonly known as Wits University, TRIBUNE gathered celebrated its centenary last year and has Nelson Mandela amongst its alumni and now becomes the first university to top THE’s innovative new ranking.
The second highest ranked university is University of Johannesburg in South Africa and in third place is Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences, in Tanzania.
Four of the top 10 universities are from South Africa and two are from Tanzania. Covenant University is the only varsity in Nigeria ranked in top 10.
The pioneering new ranking highlights the strongest universities in Sub-Saharan Africa across a comprehensive range of performance indicators covering five pillars: ‘access and fairness’, ‘Africa impact’, ‘teaching skills’, ‘student engagement’ and ‘resources and finance’.
The Sub-Saharan Africa University Rankings, produced in partnership with Mastercard Foundation, ranks 88 universities from 17 countries in the region.
Nigeria has the most universities in the ranking with 37, followed by South Africa with nine, Ghana and Kenya have seven each and Somalia and Uganda have five each.
The ranking provides a rich source of data on the differences between public and private universities. Of the 88 ranked universities, 59 (67%) are public, 21 (24%) are private not-for-profit and eight are private for-profit (9%) and seven of the top 10 universities are public.
Public universities received an average overall score in the rankings of 50 and charged students a median of £966 per year. By comparison, private institutions scored an average of 43, with not-for-profits charging £1,922 and for-profits charging £3,291 annually.
Skit Maker, Abdullahi Adisa, popularly known as Trinity Guy, has honoured the invitation of the Oyo State Police Command.
Oyo State Police Command disclosed this in a post on its Twitter page on Friday.
The Command had invited the prankster after Civil Society Organisations and social media users slammed him for sexualising a female minor in a trending video clip.
The Command tweeted, “Good Morning Fam! Abdullahi Maruf Adisa AKA Trinity reported at the Oyo State Police Command at exactly 1000hrs today.
“Recall he was invited yesterday over a video depicting the sexualization of a female minor. Updates would follow in sequence, please.”
Sharing a photo of the skit maker, the command added, “Trinity would be meeting shortly with the Deputy Commissioner of Police, State Criminal Investigation Department for his invitation.”
Two of the most well-known technology billionaires and social media titans, Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg, have agreed to face each other in a cage fight.
Musk, who took control of Twitter in October, had on Wednesday tweeted, “I’m up for a cage match if he is. lol”

Popular online comedian and comic actor Abdulgafar Ahmad, better known as Cute Abiola, and his wife Khudrah Mosunmola have welcomed their first child (a boy) together in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
The couple, who are currently at the holy land of Mecca, Saudi Arabia for the 2023 Hajj, announced the birth of their bundle of joy today.
Taking to Instagram to share pictures of the couple together, the skit maker, who also doubles as SSA to Kwara state governor AbdulRahman AbdulaRazak, said a man is not totally complete until he is able to give birth to a newborn. He also appreciated his wife, Mosunmola, for piloting the journey of the baby into the world.

BBNaija level up Season 7 winner, Josephine Otabor aka Phyna has claimed she is yet to receive all the prizes she won on the reality show last year.
On October 2, 2022 Phyna was presented with a cheque of N50 million, a brand new sports utility vehicle and other prizes totalling N100 million after she emerged winner of the show.

A man, Hussaini Lawal, and his pregnant wife, were penultimate Saturday found dead on their bed inside their apartment at Wuse Zone 4 in Abuja.
An elder brother of the late Lawal, Auwal, told City & Crime that his brother, who was a Bureau de Change (BDC) operative, was last seen on Thursday evening in his office located a walk’s distance from his house where he lived with other tenants.
He further said, “They lived on the second floor of a three-storey apartment at Agric Quarters. His vehicle was in the compound. Their apartment was locked from within. So, after several calls to their mobile phones were not answered, I suggested, while on my way coming from Kano, that the door be forced open on Saturday.”
City & Crime further learnt that the matter was reported at the Wuse Zone 3 Police Division and that following a preliminary investigation, their remains were taken to the Wuse General Hospital and later buried on the same day.
Meanwhile, it was learnt that two empty take-away food containers and empty soft drinks cans were among the exhibits taken by detectives from their room, including their mobile phones.
Spokesperson of the FCT Police Command, SP Josephine Adeh, was yet to respond to a message sent to her on the incident.
The Economist Intelligence Unit, EIU’s 2023 Global Liveability report has ranked Lagos as the Fourth Worst City to live in the world.
The report surveyed 173 cities and used 30 qualitative and quantitative factors across five broad categories: stability, healthcare, culture and environment, education, and infrastructure.
Lagos was ranked above Algiers, the capital of Algeria; Tripoli, Libya’s capital, and Damascus, the capital of war-torn Syria.
EIU said Lagos moved up the ranks after seeing improvements in healthcare and education but added that corruption is still a problem.
In 2022, Lagos was the second worst liveable city after holding the position for two consecutive years and was only behind Damascus which has been held down on the list by social unrest, terrorism, and conflict.
“Even at the bottom of our rankings, cities such as Lagos (Nigeria) and Algiers (Algeria) have gained ground, with some improvements in their healthcare and education systems. Both are in countries that are energy exporters and have to some extent benefited from higher global oil and gas prices.
“Although corruption continues to be an issue, some additional public funding has been made available for infrastructure and public services, which have also benefited from the decline in COVID cases.”
Vienna, the Austrian capital, and Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, retained their positions as first and second most liveable cities in the world owing to their “unsurpassed combination of stability, good infrastructure, strong education, and healthcare services, and plenty of culture and entertainment”.
Melbourne and Sydney, cities in Australia, and Vancouver in Canada came in as third, fourth, and fifth places respectively on top of the ranks.

An Inspector of the Nigeria Police Force attached to Niger State Command, Gbenga Fajuyi, has been sentenced to prison for allegedly impregnating his biological daughter.
It was gathered that the 47-year-old officer forcefully had carnal knowledge of his daughter in the year 2019 while she was still in secondary school.
In the case file marked SMC/MN, CR/06/2023, the prosecutor noted that Fajuyi sometime in 2019, in the Ungwan Nasarawa area of Tafa LG, lured his biological daughter, an SS1 student of Government Day Secondary School Sabon-Wuse, into his room and raped her.
“As a result, she was put into a family way and delivered a baby girl, and you warned her that if she told anybody, you would kill her,” the police report revealed.
Findings revealed that Fajuyi also strangled and killed his daughter’s baby days after she delivered.
During the police Investigation, Fajuyi confessed to the commission of his offences.
“After delivery, you took the newborn baby to a nearby river and strangled the baby to death”, the police prosecutor, Inspector Lawrence Owette, told the court, noting that the three-count charge contravened Section 18 (2) of the Niger State Child Right Law 2010, Section 390 25 (3), and 397 B of the penal code.
When the charges were read to him by the Presiding Senior magistrate, Christy Barau, the suspect pleaded guilty to the charge.
However, the court insisted that due to the serious nature of the offence, and asked the police prosecutor to prove his case and bring along his witnesses and evidence to enable the court to give him the maximum punishment in accordance with the offences he committed.
Naija News understands that the prosecutor called the investigating police officer, who invited both the mother of the girl and the girl, and they claimed the father had canal knowledge of his daughter from age 12 until she got pregnant at the age of 13.
Delivering judgement, the court’s presiding senior magistrate, Senior Magistrate Christy Barau, described the convict as a monster who, as a law enforcement officer that was supposed to protect the little girl, ended up putting her into adulthood.
She then pronounced that Fajuyi will spend the next 22 years at the Minna Correctional Centre without the option of a fine, and the sentence was to run concurrently

The late chairman of DAAR Communications, which owns Africa Independent Television (AIT) and RayPower FM, Raymond Dokpesi, has been buried amidst tears in his home town, Agenebode, Edo State.
Dokepsi was buried on Thursday in the presence of his family, friends, political associates and well-wishers.
A requiem mass was held before the interment at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Agenebode.
Among those who witnessed the interment were Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke and media entrepreneur, Dele Momodu.
Recall, a service of songs was held at the deceased’s residence in Edo State on Wednesday.
The funeral commenced with a “day of tributes” on Monday at The Ballroom International Conference Centre in Abuja.
Among the dignitaries who attended it were former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party’s governorship candidate in Kogi State, Dino Melaye; Momodu; and Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki.

Dokpesi, chairman of DAAR Communications which owns Africa Independent Television (AIT) and RayPower FM, died on May 29 at the age of 71, weeks after reportedly suffering a stroke.
A lawyer and former member of the Disciplinary Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association, Ilorin Branch, Temidayo Eseyin, has been arraigned by the Ilorin Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
Eseyin is also an associate pastor of the Living Faith Church (aka Winners’ Chapel), was arraigned for allegedly defrauding Landmark University, Omu-Aran, Kwara State the sum of N19.3million.
Landmark University is owned by Bishop David Oyedepo of the Living Faith Church.
The defendant allegedly abused his position as Attorney to Landmark University, to cheat and defraud his client (the university).
According to EFCC, he committed the offence between 2014 and 2022 when he was managing a property known as “Old Midland Building” belonging to Landmark University.
The university is situated along Emir/Obbo Road, Ilorin, which rent Mr. Eseyin collected for 8years but could not account for the funds.
In addition to this, the Commission noted that Eseyin had also allegedly attempted to sell the property without authorisation from the university.
Based on these the EFCC arraigned him before Justice Funsho Lawal of the Kwara State High Court, Ilorin, on a four-count charge bordering on dishonestly misappropriatimg the University of funds
“That you, Temidayo Eseyin sometime in the year 2021, in Ilorin Kwara State, within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court dishonestly misappropriated the sum of Six Million, Sixty Four Thousand Naira Only (N6, 064,000) representing payment of rent on property known as Old Midland Building belonging to Landmark University and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 308 of the Penal Code Law and Punishable under Section 309 of the same Law,” count 3 of the charge reads but the defendant pleaded not guilty.
Counsel to the EFCC, Rashidat Alao then urged the court to fix a date for trial and remand the defendant pending trial.
Eseyin’s lawyer, Femi Makinde, however moved an application for the bail of the defendant to which Justice Lawal granted in the sum of N10million.
He was also asked to produce two sureties in the sum of N5million each.
The judge ordered that the sureties must have landed property within the jurisdiction of the court and the case was adjourned as the new dates for the next sitting would be communicated to the parties.
