AdminYoruba movie veteran, Pariolodo, has publicly berated Bolaji Amusan, popularly known as Mr Latin, for refusing to help him in his time of need.
Naija News recalls that Pariolodo in a viral video had cried out for help over an incomplete residence and the necessity for a reliable means of transportation.
A popular Nigerian clergyman, Pastor Gabriel Agbala, who helped actress Iya Gbonkan to secure her car and complete her residence had subsequently paid him a visit and helped in raising a worldwide donation of N6 million for him.
In a new video making the rounds, Pariolodo expressed his disappointment and frustration towards Mr. Latin for neglecting him.
He reminded him that he has been in the industry long before him, adding that he started his acting journey in 1976, while Mr Latin was still in secondary school.
He said, “Mr. Latin you were in secondary school when I ventured into Nollywood, I’m not your mate.. I started acting in 1976.”
He berated Mr. Latin for refusing to help him because he is not a member of the Theater Arts and Motion Picture Producers Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN).

THE General Superintendent, Deeper Christian Life Ministry and Convener, Global Crusade with Kumuyi, GCK, Pastor William Kumuyi, has called on gospel ministers of the gospel to portray Christ and not self based on the transformed lives they have received from Christ to shine as lights in their lifestyles and the world.
Kumuyi stated this while speaking on the topic ‘Reviving Christ’s Timeless Ministry in the Present – Day Ministers,’ at the ongoing June edition of the GCK for Gospel Ministers, Church Workers and Professionals with the theme, ‘Fulfilling The Ministry with Heaven In View’ at the Obi Wali International Conference Centre, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The Convener of the GCK noted that the life of the converted believer is different from that of the natural man, hence cannot be like those who are yet to embrace Christ into their lives.
According to him, while there is the possession of righteousness on one hand, true believers are also commissioned to preach the gospel of the Lord Jesus with God’s power deposited in their lives.
The man of God also admonished pastors and preachers to remember that Christ came to save sinners and He has committed the ministry of reconciliation to believers of today, who must understand that they are duty bound to preach the gospel of the Lord Jesus everywhere.
He said: “We should allow the congregation we are ministering to, to see Jesus in us.”
He (Kumuyi) posited that God would grant His disciples the riches of His glory and strengthen them in the inner man, as they follow His footsteps.
“We should not listen to present day preachers and theologians that say miracles cannot happen again”, he explained.
In a remark after the event, the Chairman of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria,Rivers State Chapter, Reverend (Dr.) Minaibi Dagogo-Jack, described Kumuyi’s teachings and preachings as enriching.
“We learnt a lot about recovery. We learnt a lot about revival and we learnt a lot about restoration. The faith is failing gradually in the church, there is need for revival, there is need for restoration and there’s need to recover the lost axe.
“I think our father in the Lord, Papa WF Kumuyi really ‘fed’ us. We are full and abound. We were really filled, and honestly speaking every gospel minister in Rivers State from today would be a true vessel of healing, deliverance and salvation of souls”, he said.

Nelly Akomah, aged 76, a respected member of the United Kingdom chapter of the Methodist Church Nigeria, was allegedly killed by intruders in her home.
The tragic murder of Akomah came to light when her concerned sister, unable to reach her, visited her residence on Ladbrook Road, Thornton Heath, in south London. To her shock, she discovered Akomah’s lifeless body on Wednesday morning.
According to reports from the Daily Mail, Akomah’s neighbors revealed that her house’s CCTV system had been compromised, and the house alarm had been disconnected the night before the burglary took place.
Despite the police launching a manhunt to apprehend the attackers, described as a significant loss by the church president, no arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
Kamaleta Blake, a resident of the area, expressed her belief that Akomah’s home security had been disabled before the attack. She stated, “They are looking at murder now — it’s because she had a black eye. The alarm had been disconnected, and that’s why they are doing forensics.”
Neighbors described Akomah as a wonderful and devoted member of the congregation. She was found at the bottom of the stairs, and the assumption is that an intruder had entered her home, possibly with the intent to steal, and a confrontation occurred.
Expressing deep sorrow, another neighbor said, “We are heartbroken; she was our neighbor for 20 years. A lovely churchgoing woman. She was always very well dressed. She was not doddery; she was very strong and always out doing her own shopping. She certainly wouldn’t have just fallen down the stairs. Just a smart, smiley lady.”
The church’s president, Dame Susan Solanke, conveyed her anguish in a statement, recalling their recent time together at a retreat and emphasizing Akomah’s significant contribution to their mission. She expressed hope that the culprits would be swiftly brought to justice.
Detective Chief Inspector Kate Blackburn of the Metropolitan Police’s Specialist Crime Squad urged the public to refrain from posting on social media about the incident out of respect for the deceased’s family and to allow the police to conduct their investigation. She appealed to anyone with information or relevant footage to come forward and assist in the investigation.

“Listen,” she went on, speaking directly to her listeners. “Don’t pay attention to that countryman, y’all.”

The Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has denied speculations that he has perfected plans to order the release of the owner of Hilton Hotel, Dr. Rahmon Adedoyin, who was sentenced to death by hanging alongside two staff members for the murder of a postgraduate student of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Timothy Adegoke.
THE WHISTLER reported that Adedoyin was convicted by Osun State Chief Judge, Justice Oyebola Ojo, after finding him guilty based on the evidence before the court on May 31st, 2023.
Adeleke, through his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, denied granting state pardon to Adedoyin, saying, “no plans to subvert the judgment of death sentence on Dr Rahman Adedoyin.”
Rasheed stated that Adeleke’s administration will never intervene in the judicial process or subvert justice, labeling those behind the fake news as public enemies.
“Those who concorted the fake news are evil minded political operatives who are merely grasping at straws in their desperation to blackmail the state Governor. Governor Adeleke has not and will never contemplate exercising the prerogative of mercy or whatever the report calls it, on a matter under adjudication which has generated deep interest among local and global communities,” said the governor’s aide.
Rasheed noted that neither his principal nor his political party has any plans to help Adedoyin avoid serving his jail time.
“We affirm with all sense of responsibility that Governor Adeleke is not at any material time a friend or partner of the owner of Oduduwa University and did not interfere, intervene or manifest any untoward agenda in the arraignment, hearing and sentencing of the accused .
“We therefore urged the members of the public to ignore the repeated rumors of state pardon by Governor Adeleke for the convict and the watery push to link service records of a state judicial official to a popular verdict on the gruesome murder of a postgraduate student. Those peddling such lies are agents of darkness acting on behalf of disgruntled, dark political elements. They are better ignored,” he added.
Following an order of a Magistrate Court sitting at Iyaganku, in Ibadan, which remanded a popular skit maker and prankster, Maruf Abdullahi, also known as Trinity Guy, in prison over allegations of sexualising a minor in his viral skit video, Nigerians have expressed dissent views over the action of the Court.
The Magistrate, Mrs. P.O. Adetuyibi, ordered that the skit maker, alongside the parents of the minor, Isiaka Ahmed, 40, and his wife, Rofiat, 29, be remanded at Agodi Correctional Facility in Ibadan pending July 11 when the case would come up for mention.
The defendants were remanded on a two-count charge of conspiracy and sexual abuse and exploitation.
The order of the Magistrate has, however, led to different reactions from Nigerians who took to social media to express their diverse opinions about the development.
While some commended the judgment, saying that the skit maker’s pranks are always extreme and dangerous, others are of the opinion that the judgment is too harsh, adding that the young man is just trying to make a living for himself.
Supporting the development, a Twitter user, @temitayor_, wrote, “That video was horrible. I couldn’t even watch it. Whatever he gets, he deserves.”
“Very good decision. Any immoral and unethical skits should be discouraged by all legal means,” @Gboladeogundel opined.
Another user, @MawutinDeji, tweeted, “The eye of the law cannot be everywhere, but when it makes one OLORIKUNKUN a scapegoat, the other OLORIKUNKUNS will sit tight. These guys should sit down, engage their brains, and write funny content for us to enjoy, and not these silly pranks.”
“His pranks were too extreme and the particular prank with the child was not it at all. Total rubbish. He deserves whatever comes out of it. This should serve as a lesson to other pranksters.” @ulsherlan Tweeted.
Another user, @Oyedele3890, in a contrasting view stated that “If truly there’s God, God will prevails, because he was just an hustler whose trying hard to provide for his family needs….”
Another user, @Bhorlarsax “Temper justice with mercy please. Let this serve as last warning to him and everyone out there. Please Edakun Bikonu.”
“This is sad Trinity is such a beautiful happy soul, who keep helping the community the best of his power, I believe the law can just tamper Justice with mercy by checking his profile not using this uncalledfor prank to punish him, MY God help him this time”. @DaisiObanla expressed.
The embattled skitmaker has been trending online following the call for his arrest by the Police Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, over dangerous prank.
Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested a fake Senator, Ifechukwu Tom Makwe for alleged €5.7m internet fraud.

Appearing before the Magistrate, Olúdáre Adebayo, counsel to the defendant who was brought before the magistrate by the Police, urged the court to grant his client bail.
The Prosecution Counsel, Insp Oluwakemi Arowosaye, had earlier told the court that the three defendants conspired together to sexually abuse the girl.
According to Arowosaye, “Trinity Guy, on Dec. 17, 2022, sexually abused and exploited the girl at Kuola area of Ibadan.
“Abdullahi was asking the victim the colour of his penis, recording the scene and posting it on social media,” she said.
The prosecutor stated that the offences are contrary to Section 35 (1) and punishable under Section 35 (2) of Oyo State Child Right’s Law, 2006.
Arowosaye said that the offences also contravened Section 516 of the Criminal Code Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
Magistrate PO Adetuyibi, while denying the plea for bail by defence counsel for want of jurisdiction, stated that case had been filled and duplicated at Ministry of Justice.
According to her, not until the ministry of justice accepted to withdraw it that she could hear the matter.
The court also ordered that the parents of the little girl in the video be remanded alongside Trinity Guy till next sitting.
The Magistrate therefore adjourned till July 11.
