APC Chieftain Warns Governors Against Diverting Palliatives

Engr. Kailani Muhammad, an All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, has warned governors against diverting N5 billion earmarked by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to cushion the impact of subsidy removal.

He urged the governors to ensure that the funds received thus far are disbursed to alleviate suffering in the country.

Khailani, the national chairman of Tinubu Support Network (TSN) and the Director-General of the Amalgamated APC Support Groups, made the remarks while speaking to journalists in Kaduna.

He praised President Tinubu’s accomplishments, particularly removing subsidies, and expressed confidence that Nigeria would prosper under his leadership.

Kailani acknowledged that removing subsidies was causing hardship for Nigerians and urged President Tinubu to expedite palliatives and other measures to mitigate the impact.

Regarding the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) decision, he hailed it as a victory for democracy and praised the judges for dismissing the petitioners’ claims of irregularities.

He advised the petitioners not to pursue the case further in the Supreme Court, urging them to work with President Tinubu to build a stronger nation.

He was also pleased that the immediate past Governor of Kaduna, Malam Nasir el-Rufai, was not appointed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s cabinet.

Before the former Governor’s tenure in 2015, he claimed they had all worked tirelessly for him, making numerous promises he failed to fulfil during his eight years as Governor.
