The coronation of the Oniru of Iruland, Oba Gbolahan Lawal, may have come and gone but the memories it left behind linger on. The event, which attracted top dignitaries from both home and abroad, was also attended by the Onikate of Ikateland, Oba Saheed Elegushi.
Society Plus learnt that the two respected monarchs seem to have taken a special interest in each other and are ready to collaborate in ways that their respective kingdoms can benefit from their wealth of ideas. People have described their coming together as a positive development that would lead to the growth of Ikate and Iru.
Also, one cannot help but notice the similarities between the two kings. They are both young, suave and charismatic with a wealth of experience in different areas.
It was also gathered that the two monarchs planned to work together in making sure every indigene of their communities felt the impact of their reigns even as they promised to come up with initiatives that would further empower the people.
